Slip on it

It's nice to dress up and look very much like a lady, but it gets to a bit too comic to be running in high heels while trying to catch a flight, walking up subway stairs, grocery shopping and well you get the point.  And trust me I've seen a bunch.  Many days all we want is to slip on a pair of comfy shoes and hit the road contentedly and chic.  The extra inch or two doesn't hurt women's vanity either.  Enjoy!

Friday eye candy: Shoes and their powerful silence presence

Celine Deni Wedge pumps.  Mu favorite shoes now.
Do you remember which shoes that friend was wearing when you crossed paths on the street yesterday? No...? how about the last person you had a conversation with yesterday, besides your partner?  No, to that either...?  Well that's what happens most of the time, unless you work for a magazine and people track what shoes you wear.  I'm not, by any means, complaining.  The last thing we need is for shoes to take over the attention from our cellphones.  "Oh, I don't have time to look at your eyes while you are talking, your shoes are so distractingly amazing and so entertaining I can't stop looking at them."  No, no, that cannot happen!  Case in point!  If we rarely remember the shoes people wear why are women, me included, so bewitched by them? That's the million dollar question and I’m afraid it would take a full table of psychologies to figure it out.   I like to think that the fashion world is like a big complex meal and shoes and bags are the salt and pepper that enhance it or kill it.  Do we really need salt and pepper in our foods?  Probably not but, it's inarguable that they do make our meals so much more delightful and irresistible.  Enjoy!

Designer Sandals

These unique and sporty pair of sandals by Riccardo Tisci for Givenchy are to blame for this post.  Love the creative gold chain adorning the rest of the sporty material and how that simple but brilliant detail makes these flat sandals so feminine and exclusive looking.  Who said that a pair of comfortable and outdoorsy women sport sandals can't be pretty as well?  This round up of flat sandals are for the comfort conscious lady who still wants to look good while walking in town.  Enjoy!.

Christine Centenera: A Style Icon

 Stunning fur coat
Christine Centenera is the fashion editor of Harper's Bazzaar Australia and is my top style icon, so far.  There is an automatic *sigh* that comes out of me every time I look at a picture of her rocking one of those perfect outfits.  Her fashion sense is feminine, edgy, modern and a bit futuristic at the same time.  Only her shoes by themselves deserve a trophy.  Judge by yourself!

Fall 2013 Fashion Trends: Cut out boots

Phillip Lim
I'm still vacationing in Mendoza, Argentina, a beautiful and relaxing wine region that is a must see and experience for the lovers of wineries, picnics under grapevines and horseback riding on the foothills of the Andes mountains. Does it sound like a dream to you? I promise I'll be posting pictures along with a small and first-time-visitor (me) guide. But for now I just wanted to share with you a trend that I spotted on the runways of New York Fashion week that has everything to do with women's greatest love: shoes! Long and mid-calf cutout boots were, per say, wrapping many of the model’s legs on the runways. Fall 2013 might as well be warmer. Enjoy!

Instagram-tification and want awesome affordable shoes?

Don't we all love finding great shoes at even greater prices?  I found these Sam Edelman studded pumps at T.J.Max for like half the price that goes online.  I love how studs are popping up everywhere in fashion lately.  Glam Rocks!
Red Rooster in Harlem has recently been in every piece of print I've read lately, even Vogue, and we finally paid a visit this past weekend with a group of friends.  The place has a very hip and young environment and the decor is pretty unique and different.
The weather couldn't have been perfecter.  We were lucky we were able to sit outside.
I love this dress.  You can't just keep thinking one day I'll dress like that! No! you have to do it.  Life is short and we're not getting any younger so to all of you who are like me and admire people who dress modern and young with an edge, go for it!
This is the view from the playground I take Lucas to and it's one of the things I'll miss the most when we leave.  Let's keep in touch  you can follow my instagram by clicking here

I'm looking for the perfect: Loafers

As much as I love to dress up and wearing heels, I think heels should only be used strictly from the car/taxi to the event.  During the day, to walk around town flat shoes is my only option.  I'm very into the tomboy kind of look lately.  I know, I'm fashion-experimenting.  Still.  These cute loafers are to live by.  In pair from top, from left to right: Opening Ceremony, Collete, Jimmy Choo, Etsy, Valentino, Charles Philip, Dieppa Restrepo.

Friday Eye Candy: Shoes

These past few days have been airlessly hot.  Perfect days to linger indoors under the wonderful AC or in a pool.  Hopefully the weekend will cool off!  Enjoy your weekend!
