Chic countryside part I

 Jenni Kayne home
We are driving to the country side this weekend with some friends to breath in fresh air and be eaten up by mosquitoes.  But everything for la naturaleza.  I'm one hundred percent an urban girl but sometimes I like to escape to the countryside and enjoy the simple life although I'm not quite sure why they call it the simple life, I don't think there is anything simple about milking a cow, trying to grab an egg away from a mami chicken and waking up at 5 AM by a rooster.  All my admiration!  Of course all that would be a pleasure if I happen to wake up in either one of these places.  Have a great weekend!

Kitchen of the week: A country kitchen in the City

I know, I know, you've seen this kitchen a few times already but when I received my T Magazine on Saturday I knew this was going to be the kitchen of this week.  The patina all over it is like that of a well lived-in French country kitchen but in Soho, New York.  It kind of reminds me of horses and saddles.  Olatz Schnabel, the world famous super model, designer and entrepreneur and ex of Julian Schnabel is the owner and designer of this kitchen and her travels around the world come across every detail.
The bathroom makes me go 'whoa!!' And, The openness of it would make many people nervous Especially those who are only comfortable with the regular alcove closed in shower -because it's a very predictable world out there, let's keep it like that- This is a bathroom for people who think outside the box.  Love the all checkered black and white tiles.  Give me more, please!
