Monday Meandering

Happy Monday!  Yes, I am announcing the two lucky winners of the Minted giveaway today. But first, just a few links and events to note.

1) The One of a Kind Show starts this Thursday in Toronto. It’s a must visit to see handmade wares and art and do some holiday shopping.  This year's Holiday show features over 800 Canadian artisans from coast to coast, including 90 new participants who will make their debut this season. I’ll be sure to share some photos of my finds but in the meantime, you can read past posts here to get a feel for what it’s all about if you have never been.

2) Did you miss the kid’s bathroom project I revealed last week?

3) I know this has been all over the blogosphere but Cassie’s little reveal really shows the impact of wallpaper (or in this case, wrapping paper) in a small space. The Before was so boring and what better way to kick it up a notch than with wallpaper.

4) I pinned this image last week. Don’t you just love this? Wish I had a wide hallway so I can line it with books (oh, ok maybe magazines.) It lead me to this post about multiple pendants in a hallway.

5) The image above reminds me of what Suzanne Dimma created in her recently renovated basement. To make a long hallway interesting and functional, she had a floor to ceiling bookcase custom built.  It now houses all of her and her husband’s design books (he is an architect.)  You can watch the video here. Lots of inspiration and tips.

6) My friends at Style at Home are having their annual cookie swap where one lucky reader will win a Kitchen Aid Artisan Series Stand Mixer.  Go here for all the details.

7)  And now, the winners of the Minted giveaway are… Brittany S. and Daniela D.  Please email me at decorhappy(at)gmail.com to find out how to claim your $200 prize.  Thanks to everyone for entering.

Leah took some photos of M for our holiday card this year.  And I’m deciding between these two card designs. There are so many beautiful choices – I really loved them all!

And PS where did my baby go? Wasn’t she 5 just yesterday? Now she is 11 and taller than me and such an amazing girl. She says the above image would make a great CD cover.  Keep practicing your singing M and you never know!

And with that adorable, cheeky face I bid you a happy week!

It’s a bit of a whirlwind one for me with client meetings/shopping and fun events which I will share. Follow me on Instagram to see up-to-date photos. Also if you do follow, you would have seen snaps of my ensuite makeover in progress - my lovely new faucet, painted cabinets and wallpaper choice. Full blog reveal coming soon -  promise!  I would have shared here but this post would be so long and I have to run!
